Summary
The project will provide rural communities in Nigeria access to safe clean drinking water. Our mission is to ensure that 1000000 people have access to water and sanitation by the end of 2023. The project will build tube wells, handheld pumps, ventilated improved pit latrines, train children on good hand washing practices and conduct workshops on making schools WASH friendly. The project will also provide wash materials, sanitizers and palliatives to prevent the spread of the disease in communities.
Solution
The project will provide water to the communities as well as wash materials such as powdered detergent and soap for good hygiene practices which in turn will improve the quality of life. My Team will also provide training to the community on good hand washing practices and schools on hygiene practices to make them wash friendly schools especially now with the pandemic; Other pro-poor initiatives on economic development through the use of local water filtration methods will also be adopted.

Long term effects

This project will impact over 1000000 children, women and elderly who are most vulnerable on good hand washing and sanitation practices and in the surrounding villages which will improve their quality of life. It will also help in developing local business among women through sale of purified water using local water filtration methods. This project will educate the community about water storage and household management of water as well as make our schools WASH friendly.
